School: St.George’s School Munich

Our students are proactive individuals with their own ideas and views.

Mr. Saunders has a passion for teaching, history, rugby, and farming. He recently became a proud owner of a chicken farm and the first 10 chickens have already moved in! Sebastian joined St.George's school in Munich in 2018 following a recommendation from a friend at St.George’s in Cologne.

“St.George's school has a truly global feel that goes beyond the ‘international school’ title. Our students have a fantastic drive to do well and a strong sense of global awareness on various topics, such as the war in Ukraine, gender issues and diversity.”

Mr. Saunders takes great pride in the proactive nature of our students, each possessing their own unique ideas and perspectives. He believes this is due to the holistic teaching methodologies implemented throughout the school, as well as the dedicated teachers who consistently foster meaningful discussions and encourage independent thought.

Sebastian not only holds the position of Head of Middle School but also serves as a Club Coordinator and is the founder of the St.George's Dragons Rugby Club. Rugby runs in his family - his father played rugby and he took part in his first tournament when he was just 7 years old. Rugby is a fantastic way to meet like-minded friends wherever you go. That has motivated him to establish already 2 rugby clubs - one in Austria called “Vorarlberg” and one at St.George´s – the “Dragons.”
